{Pauline & Richard} Engagement Photos
Some more updating going on here…
To kick off this holiday weekend, I want to share these beautiful engagement photos of one of my adorable couples, shot by the fabulous photographer Connie Lyu. Pauline & Richard are two of the sweetest people and are an absolute joy to work with. We have been on the same page since day one and I cannot wait to see it all come together at their September wedding at Shutters on the Beach.
Pauline (a bubbly Angeleno) and Richard (a proper Englishman) live in London, but are moving to Southern California before their wedding. It has been so much fun planning with this international couple, but also learning some great British sayings in the process. So I will leave you with one of my new favorites...Have a lovely jubbly weekend!

{Oh, Hello There}
So you might have noticed that I have been a bit absent these past couple weeks, okay maybe 6. It's not that I have abandoned you, rather some technical difficulties that have made it impossible to post. Thankfully I have some tech-savvy people helping me and it is finally all straightened out. So I am back here – with a bit of a reinvigorated spirit. Why is it when I can’t post, I seem to have so many ideas? Well I am going to try and keep that energy going (one of my goals for 2012). But before we start moving forward, let’s take a bit of a look back at what I and Samantha Scott Events have been up to:
The year kicked off with a wonderful and fun-filled wedding at Stephen S Wise Temple. The bride & groom and their families were such a pleasure to work with and I am so honored that I got to be a part of their special day. This wedding was certainly a “party” with guests commenting as they left that it was the best wedding they have ever been to...

{Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012}
2011 has been a year of growth for me and my business. About a year ago I decided to put fear aside and jump feet first into starting Samantha Scott Events. I am quite proud of where this year has taken me and am very much looking forward to where I'm going. If this past year has taught me anything it's to go for it, take chances and believe in oneself. Thank you to all of you who have supported and believed in me this past year and make sure to stick around for 2012 – I know it is going to be a good one!
A little snippet into what the holidays’ looked like this year:
Every year I attempt to make handmade holiday cards. This year I finally got it together. They included a sequin garland that I lovingly glued and strung together.

My holiday wrapping - a mix of lush velvet ribbon with twine, kraft paper and feathers.

A simple holiday treat of chocolate bark with cranberries, pistachio and a hint of sea salt, all packaged up.

Cheers to a fabulous 2012!
XO,
Samantha
