{Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012}

2011 has been a year of growth for me and my business. About a year ago I decided to put fear aside and jump feet first into starting Samantha Scott Events. I am quite proud of where this year has taken me and am very much looking forward to where I'm going. If this past year has taught me anything it's to go for it, take chances and believe in oneself. Thank you to all of you who have supported and believed in me this past year and make sure to stick around for 2012 – I know it is going to be a good one!

A little snippet into what the holidays’ looked like this year:

Every year I attempt to make handmade holiday cards. This year I finally got it together. They included a sequin garland that I lovingly glued and strung together.

My holiday wrapping - a mix of lush velvet ribbon with twine, kraft paper and feathers.

A simple holiday treat of chocolate bark with cranberries, pistachio and a hint of sea salt, all packaged up.

Cheers to a fabulous 2012!

XO,
Samantha

{Classic Engagement Party}

Somehow it feels as though only yesterday it was May. I don’t really know where the summer went, fall flew by in a wink and now it's nearing the end of the year. My lack of posting is a testimony to how busy I have been these last couple weeks. I can't complain however, I WANT to be busy. This time of year most everyone is busy and with Hanukkah starting last night and Christmas this weekend, I wanted to share how I have been preparing for the holiday’s. I will be sharing my handmade holiday cards and my holiday gift wrapping next week, but first I need to share a little engagement party we threw for my husband’s uncle and his fiancé. Though this took place about a month ago, the timing is quite fitting because it could just as easily be translated into a holiday inspired get together for friends and family. All you need is good food, tasty drinks and fabulous company. {And if you are looking for a delicious holiday treat, you should definitely try these homemade oreo cookies.} And if you are looking for a delicious holiday treat, you must try this homemade oreo cookie recipe.}

...with this nail polish. Now I'm on a mission to find some truly metallic silver nail polish.
